Taylor Vallance
Community Resource Specialist, Prism Community Collective (he/they)
Taylor is a passionate advocate for queer liberation and the intersectionality of gender, sexuality, and disability. With a degree in Women’s and Ethnic Studies and a certificate in Gender and Sexuality Studies from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS), Taylor’s work has been shaped by a deep commitment to education, compassion, and community support. They have worked and volunteered with the UCCS MOSAIC and LGBTQ Resource Center, where they helped create events that foster learning and inclusivity. Taylor also contributed to the Colorado Springs LGBTQ+ Oral History Project, where they served as an interviewer for season three and a student interviewer support for season four.
Beyond their academic and professional work, Taylor is an avid drag artist who uses drag as a powerful form of protest for queerness and transgender inclusion. They are deeply passionate about queer futurism, advocating for a world where all queer people can thrive in their full, unapologetic identities. Taylor’s work also emphasizes the importance of queer disability justice and the work of intersectional care.
Outside of work, Taylor enjoys spending time immersed in music, movies, painting, drawing, and supporting local drag shows.
