Katie Blickenderfer
Born and raised in Iowa, Katie attended the University of Northern Iowa, graduating in 2008 with a degree in social work and psychology, before continuing at UNI for her graduate studies in social work until 2009. She has worked at Diversus Health for 14 years and has served in the role of Chief Clinical Officer for the last three years. She oversees outpatient mental health and substance use services and the crisis continuum. Her work focuses on programming initiatives and projects that help to improve and expand our behavioral health services provided to individuals in our community. She chose to pursue her career at Diversus Health because her passion for social work draws her to the mental health community for which she is grateful to have the opportunity to engage. Katie welcomes the occasions when she can walk alongside clients who are undergoing the recovery process. She is thankful to have learned so much at Diversus Health and she looks forward to continuing to transform the care provided in the community.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys doing puzzles, playing board games, reading, spending time with her family and friends, and hiking, biking, and running in the great outdoors. Having chosen to raise her family in Colorado Springs, community collaboration and transformational change is important to her, which is why she is invested in the work CHP does in the community.
