DeAnn currently serves El Paso County communities as the Deputy Director of El Paso County Public Health. She holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has more than 20 years’ experience in governmental public health practice including local, state, and federal government settings, as well as international experience as a Peace Corps volunteer. 

During her career, DeAnn has developed expertise in infectious disease prevention and control, community health, policy and program development and organizational leadership. DeAnn especially enjoys the opportunity to work in local public health because of the unique opportunity to work closely with diverse community members and partners to positively impact the health and wellbeing of our local communities.
