Dayton Romero
Dayton joined the board of CHP in July 2024, bringing over a decade of leadership in health and digital equity. As the Mountain-Central Regional Program Manager for AARP’s Older Adult Technology Services (OATS), he oversees digital literacy initiatives across ten states, focusing on bridging the digital divide for older populations.
As a student of transformational, data-driven, and servant leadership, Dayton has consistently demonstrated his strategic vision in driving impactful change. In Colorado Springs, Dayton serves as chair of Rocky Mountain Healthcare Services (PACE) and has led key initiatives as the past chair for the Pikes Peak Commission on Aging and Innovations in Aging. His statewide influence includes roles such as the 5th Congressional District Citizen Representative on the Colorado Commission on Family Medicine and a Digital Equity Working Group member, which helped the development of the Colorado Digital Access Plan to leverage $12 million for digital inclusion. Additionally, he collaborates with key regional stakeholders on digital equity efforts in Nebraska, New Mexico, and Iowa.
Dayton’s career is dedicated to enhancing community resilience and addressing fragmented systems that have consequences on population health. He has led multiple teams, created collective impact models, and fostered cross-sector collaborations. Recognized as a Digital Inclusion Champion by Colorado, a Mayor’s Young Leader, and honored by the American Society on Aging Leadership Institute, Dayton’s leadership aligns with CHP’s mission to transform community health. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys running and traveling with his partner, Celeste, and his dog, Dexter.
